The doctors have cleared us to go home later today! They took him off all of the medications yesterday except the Gleevec, so that's all he needs to take when we're home. The only problem is that the process that we need to go through to get the Gleevec given to us by the drug company takes at least a week or two. The doctors are going to give us a supply to hold us over until that happens. The only problem with that is the hospital might make us pay for it, which might put us out a couple thousand bucks. They know that Ian isn't working right now, but since we have some savings, they've got their eye on that. I know the hospital is a business and they've got to make money somehow, but it doesn't work out so well for us.
Anyway, we're really glad to be going home no matter what. Home is better than the hospital anyday.

ReplyDeleteThat is so great you get to go home!!!! we were planning on stopping by the Hospital on our way home from dropping Whitney off. But me and Shane have really bad colds and decieded it would be really bad if we got Ian sick. So we are sad we can't see you. Your in our prayers we love you guys
