Ian's white blood cell count this week was around 4,500, which is normal, even at the lower end of normal. And now he doesn't have to go see the doctor every week, though he still has to get his blood tested. Also, Ian saw an ophthalmologist yesterday to make sure that his eyes were doing okay. The ophthalmologist said there is still a little retinal hemorrhaging, though it is resolving, but that there should be no long-term effects to his eyes. They also checked his intraocular pressures, and both eyes were at 19, which Ian says is the lowest they've ever been, so that's a little more good news. (For those who don't know, Ian has a family history of glaucoma, so he has high risk of getting it himself. Normally his pressures are a little high, but this time they were in the normal range.)
Ian started up spraying lawns this week, and hasn't had any problems keeping up with what he needs to do. He still has anemia, but it hasn't really been slowing him down.
Yesterday Ian got an email from the University of Iowa dental school. He is officially an alternate, whatever that means.

Glad things are going well, and that you are getting good news from the docs. We will keep praying that University of Iowa figures out how awesome Ian is!
