K doesn't roll over yet. She doesn't even try. Apparently though, none of my siblings or I rolled over til we were 8 months old, so I guess she has a ways to go.
She is getting good at grabbing things. Especially my hair.
This is basically the cutest thing ever. She just needs help tilting it up.
Her burp cloth is her favorite. If we put it in her lap she grabs it and stuffs it in her mouth.
She still doesn't quite sit on her own yet, but she can do it for longer and longer before she falls over. A few weeks ago she did it for probably 30 seconds. I think she was showing off for our upstairs neighbors. (They have a baby two weeks older then her, and he won't sit at all.)
She stands a lot too. It seems like she would rather stand than sit and would rather do either than lay down. She does really good if she can lean or hold on to something. Once I stood her up in her crib and she held the railing. It was really cute, of course.
She also drools a ton. Mostly I think its because she sucks on her hand and it gets all over. And she blows bubbles all the time, which doesn't really help with the drool.
Check out the drool on that shirt. There is even more at the bottom that you can't really see.
She doesn't look too impressed.
She seems to care more about toys and things now. And she really likes us to read to her. I tried before but she wasn't interested at all, but now she looks and looks at the pictures. (Especially if they are shiny.)
She loves shiny things, so Ian set up this book (its from the library so it has the shiny dust jacket) on the couch so she could stare at it.
She has discovered her hands. She is always scratching things or grabbing things, and of course putting things in her mouth.
And, K has had her first solid foods. So far she is conflicted about it. She will gag and spit it out or eat it like she'll never eat again, even within the same feeding. One thing is constant though, she is very messy doing it.
I love those big blue eyes.
